United States Marine Corps LCPL Justin McLeese grew up in Covington, LA and joined the Marines after high school in 2003 to protect and defend his country after 9/11. Justin served with the 1st Marine Division, 3/1 - the Thundering Third, and was deployed to Iraq in 2004. He was killed in action in the Battle of Fallujah during high intensity urban combat. He has received a number of awards including the Bronze Star V for Valor in Combat, the Purple Heart and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
Justin was an adored only son, the youngest of the 4 McLeese children. He was kind, funny, strong and a natural leader with many friends. Justin "JM" was an all-district defensive end for Covington High School’s Football Team. He was an all-American young man with a great future. We were blessed to have such an incredible son. He is loved and missed beyond measure...JM Forever.
