PO1 Robin Collins

My daughter Robin was a kind soul. She and her twin sister Kristin joined the Navy together in 2016. Robin never met a stranger as she became an instant friend.

Robin was a Cryptological Technician Technical for the Navy and top notch at her job while deployed on DDG85 in Yokosuka, Japan. She re-upped for 2 years and served under the Vice Admiral at NAV Support in Naples, Italy. She was handpicked for a classified mission in Europe of which she did not return. Everyone who worked with her loved her as she was a thoughtful and kind leader. Robin also left the Navy with an algorithm which was developed on the steps she took to locate a missing vessel that she was tasked to locate. I was told she addressed the Joint Chiefs of Staff on this and I'm very proud of her for that. NAV Support dedicated a conference room in her name.

She had an excitement about her whenever she was out exploring her surroundings. She loved traveling and learning the ways others lived. Each outing was a new adventure for her to explore. While visiting her in Japan, I was asked if I would go bungee jumping, which of course for me was a very fast "no". We explored new places she hadn't been to and enjoyed the beauty of the country.

She had a passion for staying in shape and also cooking. While she was in Italy, she had developed the habit of baking her team member's favorite dessert for their birthday. She also had a habit of turning an interview around so she could find out more about you instead you about her.

She is surely missed by all who knew her.
