MSG William ( Billy) LaVigne II

Billy was so much to so many people, a wonderful daddy to his beautiful daughter Aiya, a devoted son, a brother and a friend to anyone he met! He was a warrior that always fought hard no matter what battle came his way! He was our hero!

He would help anyone that needed him. He was always there to give encouragement to others when they felt they couldn’t face their challenges. He was an inspiration to all!. He was never backed down from a challenge and was the bravest of the brave. He lived more life in his 37 years then 10 people who lived to be 100.

Billy served with the utmost distinction and received the following awards in the military: Bronze Star Medal with “V” Device, Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (Oak Leaf Cluster), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal ( 2 Silver Leaf Clusters), Army Good Conduct Medal (5 Knots) Afghanistan Campaign Medal (2 Combat Stars) Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon ( Number 3). Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Special Forces Tab, Combat Infantryman Badge, Combat Action Badge, Military Freefall Jumpmaster Badge with a combat Jump Star, Military Freefall Parachutist Badge and a Parachutist Badge.
