This year the Woody Williams Foundation is launching a new giving society for supporters wishing to invest in our mission to HONOR, RECOGNIZE, and SERVE Gold Star Families.

The name Caretaker Society was inspired by our late founder, Medal of Honor recipient Hershel “Woody” Williams. Woody often remarked, “This Medal does not belong to me, it belongs to those who did not get to come home. I wear it in their honor. I am merely the caretaker.”

Throughout his life, Woody took the role of caretaker to heart and felt passionately that part of his duty was to carry on the legacy of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and their Gold Star Families. In much the same way, we as a community must be the “Caretakers” of Woody’s vision and our mission.

By joining the Caretaker Society, you will become a part of Woody’s Legacy of Service. This commitment is made to honor Woody’s mission to serve Gold Star Families and support the ongoing work of the Woody Williams Foundation.

Join us as we raise $100,000 for the next generation of service. All donations to the Caretaker Society will go towards expanding our work and offering greater services to Gold Star Families. As a member of the Caretaker Society, donors will receive a limited-edition challenge coin, certificate of membership, and recognition on the Woody Williams website.
