Cathy Mullins is a Blue Star and Gold Star Mother who, along with family, truly live service above self.
Her middle son, SPC Brandon Scott Mullins, made the ultimate sacrifice on August 25, 2011 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Her oldest son, SFC Shaun Mullins, is currently on active duty and her daughter Bethany and son-in-law, SSGT Steven Randall, are stationed in Okinawa Japan.
Cathy holds a master’s degree in Education from Western Kentucky University and bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Waldorf University. She is an official National Anthem Singer for the Nashville Predators Hockey Team and teaches piano and voice.
In honor of her son in 2016, Cathy established the SPC Brandon Scott Mullins Memorial Foundation to provide leadership scholarships at Apollo High School and the Owensboro Hockey League. She also serves as the President of the Kentucky Chapter of the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc.
Cathy and her husband Tommy, US Army Veteran, reside in Owensboro, Kentucky and have five Army B.R.A.T. grandchildren, Fox and Pierce are currently stationed in Italy and Alice, Violet, and Shepherd are presently stationed in Japan.
