Lexington VA Gold Star Families Memorial Monument and Resources

Jordan's Point Park, Old Mill Race, Lexington VA

The Lexington Virginia Gold Star Families Memorial Monument was dedicated on September 24 2023. The project committee was led by Chairpersons Jaden Keuhner and David Keuhner and included Sarah Ross Geisen, Jon Torre, and Barrett Bourgeois. This group of individuals came together with a common goal to make sure that we never forget.

Gold Star Family members and relatives are those who have sacrificed a Loved One for our Freedom.

The Gold Star Family Memorial was created by Medal of Honor Recipient Hershel “Woody" Williams to remember those families who have made the ultimate sacrifice. To learn more about the memorial, please visit our Gold Star Families Memorial Monument web page.

"Dying for freedom isn't the worst thing that can happen. Being forgotten is." Georgie Carter-Krell (Mother of Posthumous Medal of Honor Recipient Pfc. Bruce W. Carter, USMCD - Florida)

Funds raised will be used to further the mission to honor and serve Gold Star Families across the nation and the legacy of their Loved Ones who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
