The Springfield Illinois Gold Star Families Memorial Monument was dedicated on October 18 2025. The project committee was led by Chairpersons Christine Hansley and Marlene Van Matre - Gold Star Sister and included Chuck Kitson, Richard Revell and Paul Turnbaugh. This group of individuals came together with a common goal to make sure that we never forget.
Gold Star Family members and relatives are those who have sacrificed a Loved One for our Freedom.
