CPL Daniel Tatum

CPL Daniel Lee Taum, USMC, was a wonderful young man who lived all things larger than life! He smiled large, he laughed large, and he gave the best bear hugs! He loved his family, his country and his God.

He was the middle of three boys, and he was always the one playing jokes and making people around him smile and laugh. The Marines was a good fit for him, he loved being a Marine. He was quick to tell you he was a Parris Island Marine-NOT a Hollywood Marine!!

Daniel served two tours in Iraq and died as a result of an automobile-train collision in Oceanside, CA on December 24, 2007, he was 22 years old.

The most important thing for you to know, is that we want you to remember Daniel for the way he lived. He brought joy and happiness to everyone that knew him.

Daniel served 2 tours in Iraq. He received multiple service medals including the Navy Achievement Medal. Daniel was the middle son in a family of three boys.
