Jared was a submariner and served as a Sonar Tech for 15 years. He was posthumously awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for his meritorious service. He was an avid motorcycle rider and taught motorcycle safety for the Navy. Jared was proud to be a submariner and took new sailors under his wing to help them complete their quals and achieve their goals.
Jared had a love for life and adventure, jumping off the cliffs in Lake Martin, skydiving, and scuba diving.
Jared loved his family and was the father of 4 children.
He mentored many young sailors, husbands, and fathers. He cared deeply for his friends and went out of his way to show his love for them as well.
Since his death, so many of his Navy friends and motorcycle club friends have reached out to us to let us know how much they loved and respected our son.
