Jarrett was the second oldest of five children. He graduated early from high school to pursue his dream of becoming a member of the 82nd Airborne, to honor his great-grandfather who was a paratrooper at Normandy in World War 2. His older brother is a Fire Control Specialist in the U.S. Navy.
Jarrett and his three brothers are all Eagle Scouts. He worked with them on many service projects, averaging at least 200 service hours per year as a Scout. His projects focused mostly on aiding communities after hurricanes, wildfires, and floods.
Jarrett served as a member of the 82nd Airborne for 3 years preceding his death.
Jarrett loved sports, especially college football and professional baseball. He loved attending college football games with his three brothers, younger sister, and parents.
