Captain Mark Resh

Mark was an Apache Helicopter Pilot when he was shot down in An Ajaf, Iraq on January 28, 2007. He and Cornell Chao put their helicopter in harms way to keep the other Apache safe. For his actions that day he and Cornell Chao were awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart.

Mark was an Eagle Scout and graduated Suma Cum Laude with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburg. He grew up in Fogelsville PA. He was 28 years old and loved flying. Mark accomplished more in his 28 years than many people accomplish in a lifetime.

Mark was a true leader and was very respectful and respected by many.

We have always been proud of Mark and miss him everyday.
