SSgt Nick Caboteja Jr was assigned and deployed on ship with the 31st MEU when stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He died on 03/08/2010 from injuries resulting from burn pit exposures from his time deployed in Iraq.
