Paul was shot down in September 1967 (and is still considered an MIA).
Beyond the uniform, Paul was a devoted son, a loving husband, and a proud father who deeply cherished his family and his community. Though carried for many years as Missing in Action, his life reflected kindness, dedication, and an enduring sense of responsibility to those around him.
His sacrifice remains a powerful reminder not only of duty and courage, but of a man whose love for family and country never wavered.
Paul Raymond was my father-in-law. He was shot down while flying an F-4 in 1967, and our family’s life has been forever shaped by both the remarkable man Paul was and the profound absence his loss created.
For nearly 60 years, my husband and his mother have waited and hoped for answers about their father and husband. In 2024, Paul’s copilot was identified through DNA and returned to his family, giving us renewed hope that Paul, too, may someday come home.
