Trevor was deployed to Afghanistan twice. On his second deployment, he and his crew were awarded the Air Medal with Valor in Combat for a dangerous rescue under heavy enemy fire to save wounded. This rescue was awarded the rescue of the year by the Dustoff Association. He was a true American Hero who defined the essence of a Humble Servant Leader.
Our son Major Trevor Joseph was Commander of the Medevac Company at Fort Polk La. This is the busiest Medevac unit in the entire US Army. While attempting a rescue of a Heat Casualty his helicopter lost all engines. Trevor maneuvered the Helicopter to avoid all ground personnel. He was the only person to die upon crashing. His crew of 3 survived.
Trevor has been honored each and every day since his loss by people all over the world. His loss hurts every day but we are comforted by our Lord that Trevor is home with Lord in Heaven for Eternity.
